Kurumi Uchino is a Los Angeles based make-up artist in the motion picture-television industry. For the past seven years she has worked extensively on commercials, films, and music videos as well as print advertising and runway.
As a first-generation Japanese-American, Kurumi brings a unique perspective to her work employing artistry techniques to create flawless styles that enhance every subject. Her breadth of knowledge includes natural beauty, air brushing, hair styling and special effects (prosthetics, aging, bald cap/hair pieces, injury simulation, and even creature design).
Kurumi has worked with a diverse list of musicians and celebrities, including Rihanna, Pamela Anderson, David LaChapelle, Snoop Dogg, Kelly Rowland, Carson Daly, Alexis Jordan, Krista Allan, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Dr. Bill Dorfman.
In addition to working on spots for WAL-MART, Taco Bell, Clean and Clear, and NBC’s Sunday Night Football Toyota Half Time Show, her print work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Entrepreneur, Angelino, Playboy, NME, Sunday London Times, and Los Angeles Magazine.
